The tool uses the HTML5 Canvas API to redraw the image at the specified quality level. JPEG and WebP use lossy compression, which achieves smaller file sizes by discarding some image data that is less visible to the human eye.
For most web images, quality 75-85 provides a good balance between file size and visual quality. For thumbnails or small images, 60-70 is usually sufficient. For photographs requiring high detail, use 90+.
