字謎設計者想為文字遊戲製作字謎。「打亂字母」模式輸入「LISTEN」會產生「STELIN」、「TISNEL」或「SILENT」（後者恰好是真正的英文單字！）。每按一次都會產生新的隨機字母排列。玩家將字母重新拼組，找出單字。
嘗試風格的作家貼入一個句子：「The old man walked slowly down the dusty road.」。「打亂字詞」會產生像是「Down the road slowly the dusty walked old man」或「The dusty old slowly road down walked man」的變化。這些不尋常的結構可以激發新的寫作方法。
